The Big Bike Revival is a nationwide series of Dr Bike events put together by Cycling UK (formerly CTC) and funded by the DfT.

This is to assist cyclists especially in the wake of the COVID crisis. If your bike needs a few tweaks or you'd like advice about cycling please come and find us at the currently closed-off junction at Court Lane/Calton Avenue/Dulwich Village.

We will be there on Fridays 4-7pm and Sundays 10-1pm. Just turn up and we will do our best to assist you.

Please bear in mind this is a bike health check with some adjustments but not a substitute for a bike workshop! If you bring a bike that has been in the shed for ten years there will be a limited amount we can do but we will always be happy to advise on likely repair scenarios and so on.

Please be aware there will be social distancing measures taken to ensure everyone's safety.

    • Who was Diana Rayworth, when 'resting from acting'. Her successful career was very sadly cut short following a devastating accident.
    • thanks Jenijenjen and all - yes, i remember walking or taking the bus from the elephant (where i was working) to Camberwell to get there.  I think Tim - who's still at Franklin's -  was there in those days, and the woman who ran the cafe!  Other food places that i remember fondly are the ones in Neal's Yard (with the Hunkin sculpture that you could put a coin in ) and the basement lunch place at the Tottenham Court Road junction with Hanway Street...
    • Did you try the emergency number posted above? It mentions lift breakdowns over the festive period outside the advertised  times. Hope you got it sorted x
    • People working in shops should not be "attempting to do the bill in their head." Nor if questioned should they be  trying to "get to an agreeable number." They should be actually (not trying to) getting to the correct number. I'm afraid in many cases it is clearly more than incorrect arithmetic. One New Year's Eve in a restaurant (not in East Dulwich but quite near it) two of us were charged for thirty poppadoms. We were quite merry when the bill came, but not so merry as to not notice something amiss. Unfortunately we have had similar things happen in a well established East Dulwich restaurant we no longer use. There is also a shop in East Dulwich which is open late at night. It used not to display prices on its goods (that may have changed). On querying the bill, we several times found a mistake had been made. Once we were charged twice for the same goods. There is a limit to how many times you can accept a "mistake".  There is also a limit to how many times you can accept the "friendly" sweet talking after it.
