If this is any use to you or potential buyers, you can buy an adaptor so you can use it with any device with Bluetooth connectivity. I have a Bose sounddock series 2 which was in storage for years and recently found it, bought a Layen I-sync adaptor and can now use with recent iPhone and Bose speakers always sound good.
