I'm no big user of FB but have found it useful in getting/keeping in touch with mostly extended family who I haven't seen in years.


Recently I tagged a very old family photo with a couple of the names of people who are related. It was the first time I tagged anything. Next thing I find others are tagging people in the photo (it was a big group photo)who I hadn't, which I thought was fair enough. Then a couple tagged themselves in it, even though they weren't in the picture. One was a niece and the other a cousin. I found this a bit weird.


Is this normal practice on FB if there is such a thing? I quickly found I could change my settings so it couldn't be done without my permission. It still left me a little baffled though.

She may not know, as she wouldn't get a notification that you'd removed her. However, if she tried to tag herself again, it would tell her she wasn't allowed as she'd been removed.


just tag her in it, and then she'll think you're lovely and that you wanted her to be properly included.


I put an old black & white photo of my uncle and (now deceased) aunt on their wedding day on there and tagged their kids & grandkids, some of whom live in America. It's just to draw their attention to it.


People used to have to request that they be tagged in your photo, but these days can just go ahead and add themselves.

As I found out you can change the settings so people do have to request it.

      Hello, a bit of a long shot but I'm looking to buy a Garmin vivoactive 4s (the smaller size watch face) if anyone has one and is looking to upgrade / pass one on.       @first mate  just Google the Green's policies and AI should summarise.  For sustainable transport this includes more initiatives to get people out of their cars as you would expect.  I've always been broadly in favour of their environmental policies, although feel they should go further on culture change. Some of their national policies are bonkers and/or unrealistic - as are most of Reform's.  Historically fringe parties could come up with nonsense, as they will never govern.  Of course whilst I don't expect that Polanski will ever be PM that other bloke could be.  Worrying times, particularly if the Greens split the centre/left vote.  It would be better if One Nation Tories could split the centre vote (and drag some of those on the right), but they don;t have a lot of influence in the current party.
