Yes. The notice outside says that it's taken a bit of a bashing in recent years so they're giving it a bit of a facelift. It's reopening next weekend I think.

Answer: Why.? What's wrong with the Gents.? The money is best spent elsewhere.

I just hope in the refurb they at least add some locks to the ladies loos, hardly any of them had functioning locks the last time I went in.

I said there was a new floor and the bar top (Counter) has been renewed. Not a new bar at the top.

The scaffolding was not needed to do the floor and the bar.

And I cannot see what has been done outside because it was dark.

They probably painted it outside. Anyway I'm pleased they are giving it a facelift.

Does Scott work for Greene King now? I assumed he'd moved onto other things since the takeover.

I do not know.! I always thought Scott was a Freelance Consultant.

He seems to know what is going on most of the time.

thanks fox - sorry, I mis-read your earlier post. Must have got a bit over-excited at the prospect of a sparkling new upstairs bar with visions of Clarence as bartender, juggling cocktails with all four paws.
