North dulwich station to elephant and castle - through camberwell/walworth - is almost exactly 5k.

Continue into the City and it's about another 2 or 3k, further into town/west end and you'll easily have 10k done.

Not the prettiest route, but if you happen to work in central london it's a handy way of getting the miles in, and at 7.30am on a weekday it's very quiet but not too quiet so as to feel unsafe.

I'll be interested to see some nice local routes on this thread too :)

mapmyrun is a handy tool for measuring routes - but you probably already know that

I did have a route... it's something like this:

- Start at Peckham Rye (corner of East Dulwich Rd). Go round edge of the Rye, via Homestall/Colyton Rd.

- Go to Dulwich Park via Dunstans Rd. Do a 3/4 lap of the park an exit at Dulwich Village.

- Go north through Dulwich Village, onto Red Post Hill, and Herne Hill Road

- Go round outside of Ruskin Park, exit by Denmark Hill

- Go to Goose Green via Grove Lane / Dog Kennel Hill

You may have to tinker with the route around the parks on MapMyRun to get exactly 10K. But it takes in three local parks, and has some killer hills - particularly Dunstans/Underhill Rd.

    • Hello lovely Dulwich neighbours 👋 I’m helping to set up a small cello discovery pilot at my local state primary school, giving children their very first chance to experience learning a string instrument in a relaxed, inclusive way. We’re currently looking to borrow or rehome a few 1/4 size cellos that children may have outgrown and are no longer being used. If you have one tucked away in a cupboard or loft and would be happy for it to be loaned for the term or donated, it would be incredibly appreciated and put to wonderful use supporting young musicians at the very beginning of their journey. Happy to collect from anywhere locally (or further afield if helpful). Thank you so much! Angela
