chillipix
We have a son with high functioning autism and are looking for a secondary school (2021 intake) that might best support his needs. Does anyone have thoughts or experience- good or bad? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/265683-secondary-school-sen-provision/ Share on other sites
peggoula
morning my son is like yours but in y3 so i have friends with children on the spectrum. I would recommend talking to the schools yourself, on email or call with the senco. I have heard good things about charter ED and they are also opening an ASD centre on site which should be very useful. also heard good things about chanter ND and Kingsdale. good luck. chillipix
A rather late reply but we are now in y8 at Charter ND. Not been a straightforward journey and still trying to best navigate the system in order to best support our son in mainstream. FYI Charter ED is only now about to open the Autism Unit but the experience at Charter ND means that we are unlikely to move him as the disruption would probably out weigh any benefits, or so we have been lead to believe by the support staff we speak to.
