Do any other cyclists use the Willowbrook Rd turn off into the Surrey Canal Path? It involves a right turn, crossing the other lane on what is effectively a blind summit. Cyclists have two options, hugging the gutter then moving out into the middle of the road, hoping they're allowed to do so in time, or to take the middle of the lane earlier and hope the cars behind are patient enough to not try to kill you. I tend to the latter. Today someone forced me into the middle of the road between the two lanes, undertook me and then swerved in front of me while braking, forcing me to brake and swerve, coming very close to me. I took this as an attempt to force me off my bike rather than an attempt to physcially hit me which I'm sure he could have done easily. Had aggro at this bit before but nothing this bad.

1. What should I do? I have his number plate. Don't know if there is CCTV there.

2. If anyone else has problems here do they know of efforts to change the junction/add a filter lane or other solutions.

Thanks

    • Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.
    • It’s far too hot. Dogs should not be out and you’re right to post this.
    • Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
    • I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
