Hello!

I am studying a Msc in Psychodynamics of Human Development with a view to re-training as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. The masters is focused on childhood development and the best way to study this is by observing the beginnings of development through a process called "infant observation".

I am looking for a family based in South London (I am in Herne Hill) who would be happy for me to visit for one hour per week, for up to two years, ideally starting when the baby is about 2 weeks old. We will of course ensure this is Covid secure, and so can meet outside (weather permitting) or arrange for the observation to take place over Zoom. There would be no need for the family to do anything beyond deciding on the time for the observation, as I would simply observe what the baby is doing at the agreed time.

I've attached a letter from the course confirming my attendance and I have an up to date enhanced BDS certificate for working with children.

I would be hugely grateful if anyone reading this could consider volunteering. If you may be even the slightest bit interested please do get in touch at [email protected] or 07775814239 and we can discuss the questions that I'm sure you'll have and work out if it might be suitable for both of us.

Many thanks in advance

Alice

After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
    • There was a LETS scheme in ED and it ran for a couple of years or so. Trying to remember when it was pre 2000?  A couple of friends joined it, one did baby sitting for exchange for ironing, the other did small painting jobs or simple gardening. There was a set criteria regarding credits,
