elloriac
I have had my sharps bin collected during covid through the council. As far as I know, that is the only option. The Southwark website says that they will collect if it is "needed urgently". https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/general-household-waste/clinical-and-healthcare-wasteYou will need your GP to fill out the form on this page and you should then be able to get them collected:https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/general-household-waste/clinical-and-healthcare-waste?chapter=2&articleForm to arrange collection: https://forms.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp?fm_fid=1879&np=1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/267171-advice-please-safe-disposal-of-used-needles/#findComment-1461294 Share on other sites
Pugwash
I have had my sharps bin collected during covid through the council. As far as I know, that is the only option. What previous poster has said, GP to give you a form to send to Southwark, it will ask whether you want a regular collection of if it is a one off. It come under clinical waste.T Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/267171-advice-please-safe-disposal-of-used-needles/#findComment-1461298 Share on other sites

Pugwash
GPs tell me that if sharps box is small they would take them but if you have a large box it is the council. I tried my pharmacy and they refused to take them.
