Cazz
I hope someone can help me. i have two baby buzz budleia and a forsythia that both need pruning. the bidleia are in big pots the forsythia in the ground. I am not sure when to prune any of them and how far back I should cut them. Can anyone advise me? I would be very very grateful because they flower so well and i do not want to harm them. Thank you Cazz Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/26830-pruning-shrubs/ Share on other sites
edcam
Forsythia - late winter, early spring for a hard prune, after flowering for a light prune. Buddleia should be lightly pruned after flowering, then pruned quite hard in spring (by mid-march.) Don't prune buddleia in the winter (sorry etta but that ain't good for buddleia.)
