Need some external rendering - Victorian property

Hi, Hoping you can help. We need some rendering done on the outside of our victorian property. We have some holes further up the wall as well and rain has seeped through into out property. We also have a slight internal damp issue and the external wall behind this damp spot has some rendering missing. We would like to get a couple of quotes in and ideally a recommendation from someone who has hired a company to do a similar job.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Thanks to your posting I got Jack's mobile from this email thread and his guys did a great job damproofing a couple of walls and a corner of our basement. Really pleased with the work and plaster finishing, really quick and tidy and clean and well priced and Jack was really helpful given that we are in the middle of moving and needed the work done in a hurry. Please find my mobile if you prefer a verbal confirmation: Mark 07974828772

Hi everyone, I would just like to add that we hired Jack from J H Plastering Services to fix our damp problem. They injected a damp proof course two days ago, they were quick, tidy and professional and got the job done and he took extra care in looking after my new carpet, by covering the floor extremely well. The wall is still drying out but the plaster finish looks lovely and smooth :-)

Really nice guys would definitely hire them again and I totally recommend them! His number is Jack - 07877805665

    • I think you're right but I would love to know if anyone who has put in a swift brick for planning has actually seen a swift or other bird, or even a bat nesting in it.  Hopefully someone will post on here 🤞
    • I think everyone else was too 🙄
    • Incidentally, Southwark seems to have possibly adopted a requirement of swift boxes in new-builds anyway, and I think they're not the only LA to have done so. I recently added to to my post in https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/342208-free-swift-nest-box-installation-in-se22/#comment-1703954, the edit:- [ 30/4/25, 18/6/25  ETA To answer my own question: I see that 4 swift nesting boxes were actually  required at an earlier stage of that same developments application.  In the 4/4/25 Decision Notice of  application 24/AP/3740 is: "8. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the swift bricks details approved under 24/AP/3596 unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority ]
