I have been experiencing this too. Last night and it seems to have started tonight as well. I put it down to power surges or may some water has got into something somewhere.....

Lets hope it doesnt get worse and lead to a powercut.

If you're experiencing flickering lights regularly, then it would be worthwhile getting your electrics checked. We had been experiencing flickering for several months until one Sunday a few weeks ago. Then we noticed a burning smell...

End result? Fire brigade had to be called, then the electricity supply company, electricity cut off from Sunday evening to Monday evening. Electricity intake (one of the old bakelite types) was on the verge of going on fire. The flickering was due to the faulty intake... Cost a fair bit to replace, but worth every penny.

Your situation might be different, but if you're also experiencing your lights dimming a little or the flickering intensifying noticeably when you turn on equipment which uses a lot of power, then your situation might be similar to ours...

Don't want to be alarmist...but maybe better to be safe than sorry.
