A private message turns out to be public. How to remove?

Can the Administrator contact me about removing a message containing my phone number? By private message? Thanks

I'm not affiliated to this site, but you could find the message, click 'edit post' and remove the bits you want removed.

I see the message you're talking about. You've pressed "reply to this message" instead of "Reply via Private Message (PM)". I've deleted it for you.

And beigemartin's correct, you can simply edit your posts by carefully clicking on the "Edit Post" link underneath the message.
