Hi there... I'm a volunteer for a grassroots project called the The Hygiene Bank and we basically get donations of toiletries and distribute them to charities. I've got about three bags of toiletries including toothpaste, soap, shower gel etc and I'll drop them over to you tomorrow or first thing tomorrow morning.
Dear Beth just been informed that most of the volunteers are self isolating and that the charity shop will not re-open until Wed 12th Jan so if you could delay the drop off much appreciated - ALTERNATIVELY you can drop them off at my home address - sending you a pm

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
