Tutor Recommendation- Betsy Rowland Tutors

If anyone is looking for a tutor for primary aged children I?d like to recommend Betsy Rowland Tutors. We found Betsy last February and started working with her as our daughter was struggling with the core foundations in Maths and was falling behind. The more she couldn?t understand the more upset she would get at the mention of doing homework. When we started with Betsy she was quite anxious when approaching maths problems and would start to cry and say she couldn?t do it. Betsy was encouraging and patient with her which started to build her confidence back up. A little while after we started with her Betsy was upfront that she wouldn?t be able to continue 1:1 with our daughter but recommended another tutor Muneera for us to continue with who works with her. When I approached Betsy at the start she had said there was a possibility this would happen as her schedule was full but she wanted to help us so agreed to start with us and think about alternative solutions later. Muneera is another excellent, encouraging and fun tutor. Our daughter loved her sessions with her and over the year her attitude totally transformed. There were no more tears and she now speaks positively about what she can do. Although we started with maths we also added in English later so we alternated between each subject weekly. All our sessions have been via zoom calls and that has been fine. Our daughter was 6 when we started and we are stopping now 9 months later as our goal has been achieved and our daughter is now thriving in all subjects at school and has a positive attitude towards learning.

    • If you’ve got four quid spare, go and try one. Myself, I like the mozzarella and spinach, but there’s no accounting.
    • More of a Steak Bake kinda thing, then.
    • You might want to try the Peckham Facebook community group. I am located in East Dulwich & have 2 well-used scratchers: A large single post (ideal for an adult cat) & a small cat tree with 2 short posts (ideal for kittens) While the wear & tear is nowhere near as bad as the one shown in the link below, ideally the sisal should be replaced to get the best use out of it (& neutralise the scent of another cat) hence why I haven't donated these to a shelter. You may find this link helpful: https://thegreenmadhouse.com/diy/how-to-repair-your-cat-scratcher But you can just get a brand new one between £10-£30 on Amazon that'll last much longer. It all depends on what type of scratcher you're looking for; material, size, vertical or horizontal. Your little lion will let you know by whether they're currently scratching down or up, like a mat or armchair for example. More than happy to send location & leave in front garden for pickup.
    • Would happily take it off your hands! Preferably in Peckham. Thanks 🙏🏻
