Not sure how you would identify a special ops model in the sky? Surely they are the ones that are quieter and fitted with additional surveillance & communications kit?

Maybe the SAS / SBS / 14th Int detachment are thinking of busting a Christmas Eve party - or abseilling into a carol concert?

Its Santa having a look where there are no longer Chimney Stacks to climb down.

Looks like you will have to stand outside and catch your present from the Helicopter

as Santa has updated from his old sleigh.

It was prohibited as a health Hazard due to the droppings from overhead Reindeer.

Sweetgirl,

At 12.07 (as police noted the time) I was driving down Forest Hill Road and was almost hit full-on by a white/silver speeding car on the wrong side of the road i.e.. coming at me. He overtook a learner driver going towards Francesca Cabrini and took the front of his car off. The white/silver car was being chased by unmarked police cars. I stopped to give the driving instructor my details as a witness. The helicopter was pretty low at this point. Plain clothed police came pretty quickly. The poor learner was pretty shaken up. The driver wasn't stopping for anyone. I thank god that I didn't come round the corner a second or two later as he was driving like a maniac.

He could've caused mayhem with pedestrians, cyclists or maniac. Only when I got back in the car did I realise what a near-miss we'd all had !

There ya go! It's my old horse riding helmet so it gives added protection as well as stopping evil corporations from penetrating my brain and telling me what to buy and how to behave.....

    • It was normal cyclists, in rush hour traffic, in the dark, in the rain. Just really want people to realise it’s that time of year even more careful and to get kitted out.
    • The other consideration is that users of Lime bikes and similar, plus younger pedal cyclists, probably don't view themselves as 'cyclists' as such and so don't get kitted out or even consider that they need to. I also agree that earlier nights are another factor for the casual or hire bike user more used to cycling in the summer. I don't think I have ever seen a hire bike or scooter user wearing a helmet or reflective gear- presumably that is because the bike is just viewed as a transport tool for short term use and users do not want to be encumbered by any of the safety gear? Before anyone jumps on me for anecdotal evidence and speculation, this is just what I have seen round here, there may be hordes of similar users elsewhere that are kitted out.
    • Well apolitical if that is an OK word for you.  Sorry if my choice of words was incorrect.  But on my original point if it wasn't for the Telegraph dragging this up, and yes they do have an agenda, an no they are not apolitical/impartial whatever, we;d be none the wiser. But as it made no difference to Trump's election campaign that why would he have a case in the American courts? Irrespective of the rights and wrongs of the programme
    • If she took a bus, has she tried contacting the bus company? Long shot, but you never know!
