Smiley_blue_1234
Have you tried to go through Celia Hammond Cat Trust in Lewisham? They are doing amazing work and would always ensure full background checks on people looking to adopt. They will never judge and always have the cats' best interests at heart. It might also reasure you to know that your kitties end up in a loving home. Jules-and-Boo
Please go through proper channels and don?t advertise them on social media, really not worth the risk of them ending up as dog fighting bait. People search for ads like yours and someone who pretends to be lovely gets in touch.....Celia Hammond and there are lots of others Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274951-2-adult-cats-need-a-loving-home/#findComment-1483334 Share on other sites

intexasatthe moment
Just by way of an update - the two cats are being picked up by another poster who I know will be an equally attentive servant .The cats were indoor cats and I would have liked to introduce them to the outside world but was concerned about them mastering our cat flap and not being "streetwise " enough to cope with the big area at the back of our property and other cats .I think it's really unfair of people to be judging ElsieLouise whom none of us know anything about .My understanding is that the cats belonged to a relative and she was posting on their behalf .Why the rush to attribute dubious motives ? Am sorry it didn't work out for you though. You're right about catflaps - necer know what they'll do. I have 3 ex strsys. One catflap savvy; one too arthritic to get through and another too acared to come back in through... Jules-and-Boo
Maybe Texas but perhaps we care too much about animals.... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274951-2-adult-cats-need-a-loving-home/#findComment-1484364 Share on other sites
intexasatthe moment
Your post sounds very sanctimonious .Your's weren't the worst comments on this thread but there were some very unpleasant responses on here which assumed that the poster didn't care about animals, didn't have the cats interests at heart and that they wouldn't bother to check out the credentials of anyone offering to adopt .I don't understand why "caring too much about animals" results in a mindset where a poster is judged ,found guilty and criticised with no evidence of stupidity or wrongdoing .Being cynical doesn't mean that it's ok to attack someone without first making an effort to establish the truth of a situation .And ,as it happens ,the cats in question have been quickly rehomed with someone with a proven ( to me ) track record of caring for cats .They would have spent a long time at Ceila Hammond or other rescue organisations where the rehoming process is never quick and even more delayed at the moment .
