Recently had 1st jab at Tessa J, Centre. Went like clockword thanks to wonderful volunteers.

What I did notice tho was inspite of notices asking peeps to remove outer clothing to enable sleeve to be rolled up hardly anyone had even taken taken their coats off even tho they knew they were next inline to be called in by Doc supervising nurse who axtually did the stabbing.

If your centre has you waiting in side, please ensure your upper arm is a accessible whilst you are waiting for the jab.

Understood, but they'd be better off makign sure all staff, yes, staff, wear masks and that there is more ventilation. (Staff in reception upstairs behind plastic screens but just the normal ones wore no masks. Perhaps they have been vaccinated or tested daily but still, it is still a need and was a poor show. (I rang but no reply to make a comment.)

That's a terrible example to set!

yeah i've also noticed form footage of peeps receiving their jab that sometimes it is being administered quite low down on the upper arm because of tight fitting sleeves too.

the deltoid muscle should be completely exposed in order for an optimal jab to be given.

Mine was given on the upper arm.

I had to remove four layers of clothing from that arm (it was Friday, a very cold day and I feel the cold). I had already taken my coat off whilst waiting, which at least was inside (the poor people in the other very long queue for the other vaccination centre must have been freezing).

I was aware I'd have to do that, it didn't take long and the person giving the jab was fine about it.

    • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
    • So dangerous!    Can you be more specific about the road this was in and when you report it?  Maybe there’s some CCTV footage available
    • Hi - I’m looking for bean bags, cushions, toys and games for our play therapist who works weekly with some of our children. Any donations like board games, cuddly toys, dolls houses, action figures, dolls, puppets, easel etc would be very welcome. For Rushey Green Primary School
    • Disgusted by the people letting off fireworks so close to the petrol station by goose green!  Putting everyone else in serious danger! You'd think it was common sense to not have massive sparks so close to petrol. It is antisocial behaviour and I will call the police on individuals that do this for everyone's safety (including their own).
