I know, and it's quite right that they do that.

I bought my last printer there.

But they don't wait till you've got outside and then accost you in a street crowded with Christmas shoppers, and continue even after being shown the receipt.

It really shakes you up in any case being accused of something you haven't done, let alone in a place where some of the passers by are likely to know you.

I made the point to M&S that it was quite likely that people we didn't know would know who we were, because of our involvement in local music and community events.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
