Darren's Decorating Services

I just want to put a word in for Darren who did a fantastic decorating job for me last year. He did a great job decorating a bedroom which had been severely damaged by leaky pipes etc. The finish was perfect - I couldn't see a single seam in the lining paper - the whole room was transformed and looks great. He worked quickly and efficiently and is reasonably priced. He had to also do some woodwork to cover up some skylights which I wanted covered and has done a great job with that too. I employed him also for the next couple of decorating jobs - painting a wardrobe which I had built by a carpenter and decorating my hall and living room. I also found Darren helpful when I was choosing the colours. He is a perfectionist and did little repair jobs for me too without charging extra(for example noticing that a door was wonky and correcting it) His number is 07879 233900 and email is: [email protected]

    • Thanks for coming, James!
    • Oh, deffo a reason not to attend (Bud). Two of my tournaments have been in Germany where they insist on having the local brew as well.  In Brazil it was Bud, but enterprising shacks on the way were selling Brazilian beer, although Brahma is just as bad.  You need German communities to have decent stuff.
    • You may come into the catchment area of Fair Lawn primary in Honor Oak,  Secondary would possibly be Sydenham Girls in Dartmouth Road   or one of the private schools
    • As an avid reader and user of Dulwich Library it is a facility I could not live without. Listening to friends/family who live outside London where library hours are reduced, book loans limited and fines exorbitant, we are very fortunate. However, if push came to shove I would be more than willing to pay a yearly subscription of up to £50 pa to retain this valuable asset should there be an attempt  to close the library due to funding restraints. I am a pensioner but could afford that yearly amount - when you think that even buying a paperback would cost you £8 - £10. Have purchased a number of books from charity shops and have a pile of them on my bedroom floor to return  to them. Many years ago we donated brand new books in Polish which my father in law ordered before his death. Dulwich Library reluctantly took them when we informed that there was a large Polish community in the area. Although husband speaks Polish his reading of the language is quite poor.
