Locale, the Rose and Si Mangia

We were very impressed by the food and service of all these over Christmas and New Year. Locale provided a first class Christmas day lunch menu with impeccable service, Si Mangia their usual first rate food and service in the "in between" days, while the Rose provided an excellent New Year's party, at which it was so good to see people of all ages, all enjoying themselves in harmony. Not forgetting Omrith, which is now much improved under new ownership/management.

I have to say I wasn't crazy about Si Mangia. The food was more than OK, but the decor needs a bit of an update and each time we've been, our clothes smell really strongly of cooking fat.
