Londis - Goose Green

Last night my friend and I posted about Londis on the corner of Goose Green and about how the staff makes us feel uncomfortable and makes unwanted sexual advances and comments.

We were met with suspicion and the post was deleted. I am re posting again with my long standing profile. The reason we created new profiles is because our names were associated with our previous ones and we were worried about our privacy.

However, this is something I am concerned about and find really troubling. The responses we got last night made it seem as though we were making it up.

We are not making it up, a simple scan of the reviews suggest that others have experienced the same.

What we are trying to achieve is not the slandering of an individual (we don't even know his name) but I guess we'd like the shop owner to see the impact that this person is having on the community - particularly women.

I now no longer enter that store after some of the comments directed towards me but feel conflicted as I don't want to be run out of local shops due to one staff member.

I would urge you to read this post not as an attempt at slander but an attempt to change a situation that we have felt powerless in in the past.

DEC charities and their local partners are now preparing to scale up their work in Gaza after months of extraordinary challenges delivering aid.   Food, water and shelter are desperately needed throughout Gaza.   The levels of need are catastrophic. Please donate now.   More than 2 million people, all of Gaza’s population, are facing extreme food insecurity. The UN-backed global hunger monitor, the IPC, confirmed in August that famine* is now a reality in parts of Gaza for the first time. Following the ceasefire agreement, safe access for urgently needed humanitarian aid is expected to increase, and DEC charities and their local partners are preparing to rapidly adapt and expand their programmes again. Donations to the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal are providing urgent relief to families in crisis.   Please act now to help people in desperate need of emergency support, with food, water and shelter.   We have seen what can be done during a period of ceasefire in Gaza to repair water supplies, reach the worst affected people and get emergency supplies to those on the brink. Thank you so much, Saleh Saeed DEC Chief Executive     Photo credit: Majdi Fathi/Christian Aid * The UN-backed global hunger monitor, the IPC, said in its latest alert that famine (IPC Phase 5) is now a reality across Gaza City and surrounding areas. © Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), 17-21 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GT. • Yes, I've been waiting for his throwing the dummy out of he pram response. Maybe he didn't stay up for the announcement, or his staff are delaying telling him??!!!
    • If he doesn't get it. Will he spit the dummy out and stop brokering peace deals? Or give up on current ones.
    • Ha!!! Quite! But hopefully the Nobel Committee have their heads screwed on and are immune to the Big Orange Head!
