Hello :)

I just moved to East Dulwich and am looking for sme fun local dance classes that I could do in the evenings. I have never done any dance before so would be looking for a beginners class, and would love something fun where you could learn routines to pop music in a relaxed environment. Basically I find the gym a bit dull and am looking for something I'd enjoy doing! I'd also be interested in pole fit if anywhere does that as it sounds fun.

Thanks so much, any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Hi EmED

I go to Zumba classes monday with http://www.justdanceuk.com at Harris Girls Academy

They also run 'street dance' at Forest Hill School

The instructors are very friendly and the class is at a level to suit all, and prices are very good, you should try them out.

If not beginners ballet at Push Studios on Lordship Lane, classes are double the cost and I found the 'attitude' of some members in the advance class unwelcoming but the beginners class was very friendly, just to slow paced for me.

South London dance studios in Herne Hill offer adult classes in Modern and Tap and Fusion offer Zumba classes.

Hope that helps I have been searching for a contemporary classes in the area for a long time as getting to The Place in town is hassle after work but the Zumba with Just Dance are fun and energetic... perfect for a 'scooter' like me!

    • As said, why are you not eating humble pie for a non-story? I expect that scores of landlords are unaware or made mistakes in this territory.  And this is not just the Chancellor but a married couple.  It feels like you and others are taking joy in demonising her. The only question would be is the house suitable for renting out?  I expect it is, and if not that is up to Southwark to take action rather than keyboard warriors.  The only surprises are the expense of licensing - surely time for a thread on "is licensing a money maker for local authorities?".  I'm being facetious.  And that the cost of rental, which feels fairly reasonable based on this area. By all means go after rogue landlords.  Be my guest.  I was horrified to see some of the properties rented in London and beyond by family members.  Not all bad. Oh and another question.  Haven't I got better things to do than comment on this 'no story here' thread?  😁
