Thank you to anyone who stopped to help an elderly woman yesterday afternoon on Barry Road

Recommended Posts

Hi - I just wanted to say thanks to all the various pedestrians, cyclists and drivers who stopped to offer help to my elderly mother who had a nasty fall on Barry Road yesterday afternoon. We waited for just under an hour for the ambulance to arrive, and during this time we were offered assistance by almost everyone who passed by - which even included a chair, blankets, cups of tea, a warm flat, and some company!

Mum was fine - she fractured her arm and her knee cap, and has now hobbled back to her home in Merseyside with a sling and crutches - but she remained positive due to the warm-heartedness of the local East Dulwich residents, and is now telling all her friends what a lovely friendly place this is!

Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone will actually see this - but if you were one of the people yesterday who stopped to help - thank you!!

    • If you mean the one outside the church going towards Peckham, it still had the closed sign on it this morning, but as there are no road works there, I'm sure some of the drivers will stop there on request.  The stop outside the chippy coming from Peckham is closed as there are road works in front of it.  The 4 way traffic lights are in operation.., causing a lot of congestion.

From the very beginning through to the end Bob was responsive, helpful and demonstrated his knowledge. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will defiantly be using Bob again and would thoroughly recommend him! His details are... www.geekelectrics.co.uk 07453 407 226 [email protected]
