c2p2
Hi - I just wanted to say thanks to all the various pedestrians, cyclists and drivers who stopped to offer help to my elderly mother who had a nasty fall on Barry Road yesterday afternoon. We waited for just under an hour for the ambulance to arrive, and during this time we were offered assistance by almost everyone who passed by - which even included a chair, blankets, cups of tea, a warm flat, and some company!Mum was fine - she fractured her arm and her knee cap, and has now hobbled back to her home in Merseyside with a sling and crutches - but she remained positive due to the warm-heartedness of the local East Dulwich residents, and is now telling all her friends what a lovely friendly place this is!Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone will actually see this - but if you were one of the people yesterday who stopped to help - thank you!! Lowlander
Good to hear. Why did it take an hour for an ambulance to arrive though?
