Hi all,

If you live in the Lordship Lane end of Melford Road or on lordship Lane backing on to Melford Court, could you please check for a mini drone (red in color) landed on your back garden. My son was flying it last night when it hit a wall and lost control.

Many thanks

Valentina

Mainly because you originally posted and then edited out that you hoped her son wouldn?t get it back, pretty spiteful talk. His mum already said it hit a wall and went out of control, nothing about flying without line of site. Kids stuck indoors, missing their mates, trying to have a bit of fun, could do without your mean spiritedness.

If it was being flown line of sight then they?d know exactly which wall it hit and where it is.

The airspace in question is part of London City CTR and demands additional caution. Not to mention flying a drone next to a major road (presumably at a height of less than 50 metres as it was low enough to hit a wall - also illegal) and you?ve got an extremely reckless bit of flying.

You?re right - a bit spiteful saying I hope the toy isn?t retrieved. But nonetheless - illegal and dangerous flying. If it?s retrieved I hope it?s a lesson learned.

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
