I hope you are well. Following yesterday?s announcement I wanted to update you on our plans for GALA festival in 2021.

Based on the roadmap for easing the national lockdown it will not possible to hold GALA over the May Bank Holiday weekend as planned. Therefore, we have worked with Southwark Council to find an alternative, potential date. As a result we are proposing to move the festival to 31st July and 1st August 2021, subject to easing of restrictions and in line with government guidelines permitting large-scale events by this point in the summer.

I will be in touch in the coming months to arrange consultation meetings with yourselves as we plan for the festival.

In the meantime if you have any queries please don?t hesitate to contact me.

Best Wishes,

Sarah

But there will be "Drink Out to Help Out" in August :)

    • I don't really see the issue.  It's taking  up a small part of Goose Green.  I was able to happily eat my lunch there today witthout the fair impinging on my space or enjoyment. I presume they have chosen that location as it is near the playground, so parents with young children often go there at the weekend. I don't really see your problem.  It is near the kid's playground, presumably why the location was chosen. It doesn't take up too much of the Green. I ate my lunch on Goose Green today with no issue.
    • Here you go again trying to twist things saying I made personal saying I don't feel safe, but it's you firing and demanding answers, you're not the police and nor are you a moderator. No its not a reasonable question, nor is saying I should go live somewhere else.  You have a habit on here of "demanding" answers, not on.
    • Please pm if interested.    thanks
    • Is this a popular event? If great demand for this sort of event on such a small space then so be it. It is just with Peckham Common so very close by just wondering why this is considered a preferable venue for this kind of thing?
