The Homage to Hepworth event on Thursday, a Dulwich Park Friends' fundraiser, included this riveting filmed dance piece inspired by the stolen Two Forms sculpture: http://t.co/IzXGu57X

After a talk by Chris Stephens of Tate Britain, Councillor Barrie Hargrove explained that the Contemporary Art Society has been appointed to advise on drawing up a long list of possible artists to be invited to submit proposals for a new work for Dulwich Park. They will present this to the steering group this coming Thursday, 17 Jan. It will be up to the group to decide the shortlist.

Submissions from the three or four shortlisted artists will be placed on public display for comment before any final selection is made. CAS advise that realistically the new work will be installed in early 2014.

    • This is a huge part of the problem.   Starmer is only interested in himself, not in what is best for our country.    There's a litany of stuff he's done for spiteful jealous personal reasons which has damaged the nation enormously. Burnham would be a much better leader than of the other dross left behind when Starmer goes. To inflict a worse leader (and PM) upon us for his own selfish reasons would add to the problems and be entirely in keeping with his woeful premiership so far.
    • I heard today there was a burglary in Lacon Road yesterday evening between 20.00 - 22.00,  apparently the owners were home at the time & thieves got away with electrical items along with the owners car!  Wtf!   Anyone heard anything else?
    • What standing on the world stage? Starmer is a wannebe leader, no charisma, no passion, no leadership but tonnes of dithering, wringing his hands and pooing his pants.  I'd love to see Burnham give him a run for his money. Reason he became Mayor of Manchester was due to him no longer wanting to be in front line politics.  This thread has now gone well off topic, perhaps it needs renaming.
