tinagwee
God I am almost embarrassed to be asking re this, obviously I read the guardian too much heheh. I live in a flat yet feel I should be putting all my veg cuttings etc to use. The flat is small so my own composter even a small one isnt an option. Also I think my cats might topple it on a regular basis. Anyway I want to know if anyone knows of a communal composting system in the area. Or if anyone has an allotment and wants people's veg waste. Maybe its a stupid question. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2797-communal-composting/ Share on other sites
Peckhamgatecrasher
Not stupid at all. I feel guilty getting rid of my peelings (what ever happened to pig scraps?) and though I have a garden, I don't compost because I have a worm phobia. (How weird is that?) willow
If you have a patio or a balcony then you could try a wormery. Wiggly Wigglers do a good line in them......Depending on where you live then you could try your local allotment I guess. Or the Centre for Wildlife Gardening on Marsden Road used to let you take your organic waste down there. Don't know if they still let you.
