I just finished Defiance by Nechama Tek about a bunch of polish Jewish partisans living in the forests to escape the germans and how they took all Jews who found them in to save them, not like other partisan groups who only wanted armed and fit young men who could fight. True story and really interesting. Also Scum of the Earth by Arthur Koestler is really good and is about a journalist living in Paris in the lead up to world war 2 and his ensuing flight from the nazi's (he wrote anti-fascist stuff so was a target because of that as well as being jewish). Complicity or the Wasp Factory by Ian Banks are really good fiction too.

I have to admit I pop in the odd time (every few months) to mcd's for a mcflurry. A wispamcflurry is heaven. (you can tell I've been single for a wee while heheh) but I do feel very guilty for it because I have been told so many times that they are evil and I always believe what I am told by white middle class liberals ;) Luckily I dont crave burgers and chips so can leave the rest. Can they just open a McFlurry shop?

I had a flash of brain activity today and thought it must be nearly curry time! And right I am, but unfortunately I can't tonight, any chance of another very soon? Have not had curry well since the last curry club I went to. sad state of affairs. Any takers for next week or is that too soon?

I went to the fleet foxes last night, omg they are glorious. I love them. The most totally random banter from the crowd though which at times was a little annoying but mostly funny. Smiled like a loon the whole way through the gig, thats gotta be good!
