purplehaze
sorry to first post with such a subject - but a routine urine sample revealed the above, microscopic so not previously known about. My doctor is sending me for a scan. meanwhile my internet searches have done their usual scarey thing - Is there anyone out there who has had a similar test result that could pm me to stop me worrying. thankyou all Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27987-blood-in-urine-help/ Share on other sites
womanofdulwich
It sounds like you have first class medical care as I don't think many of us have a routine urine test. It must be a worry but as it is microscopic and been picked up and dr is sending you for a scan you have to trust that the medical service can look after you. I don't know the statistics but in my experience every time - bar one-the dr has been worried about me or my family and we have gone for scans/ further tests it has all been fine. On the one occasion where this was not the case I had a very quick treatment and regular check ups and all is well 25 years later. x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27987-blood-in-urine-help/#findComment-606938 Share on other sites

PaulK
My gf has said it is probably just a bit of cystitas and the scan is just to check it isnt coming from higher up in the kidneys. A bit of blood in urine is nothing. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/27987-blood-in-urine-help/#findComment-606944 Share on other sites
The Minkey
I went through a phase of passing drops of pure blood at the tail end of every pee, it was about 15 years ago. By the time I'd been fixed up with a hosp appt to investigate, it had cleared up. I'm still here. Does that help? It may well be cystitis, as PaulK has said, you'll know soon enough. KidKruger
PaulK: "A bit of blood in urine is nothing."Incorrect. And dangerous to believe it.When my doctor saw what I was pissing a few years ago (bits of congealed blood) she had me at Kings for a blood test immediately.A couple of days later I was having X-Ray, MRI and other tests, culminating in a camera being put up into my bladder - where they found lesions that should not have been there. Couple of weeks later they operated and removed them all.Moral: Ignoring blood in your urine is not good for your health.
