Melbourne Grove - open again?

Came back from ED station this pm to find that the planters and bollards have been removed from the Grove Vale end of Melbourne Grove - see photo. Anyone know what's going on here?

Resurfacing the road, apparently.

Ironic considering the road is hardly used for vehicles any more.

There are vehicles lining both sides of the streets almost it's entire length, in addition to those travelling up and down it freely.

It's not been pedestrianised.

How are road signs enforced by cameras a scam as opposed to enforcement of the rules of the road?

The whole point of the planters was that it was temporary, and funds for cameras not available.

Because drivers Parked on Melbourne Grove see the road is open .. and drive through

but cannot see the the signs.. or assume the restrictions have been lifted.

If not familiar with the area restrictions drivers could just drive through.

People get rewarded (Incentive Bonuses) for coming up with these schemes..

Since I went past here yesterday, some evil-minded ratbag has been partially unscrewing the screws in the benches attached to the planters, no doubt with the intention of causing injury to passers-by (it would most likely make their day if an innocent small child got their hands ripped to shreds by it.)
