Graduate in need of part time/fulltime job!

Hi, I've seen quite a few of these threads so I'm not exactly sure how fruitful they are, but it's worth a try at least. As the title suggests, I'm a 23 year old graduate. I moved to East Dulwich from Queens Road Peckham about six months ago and would really love some work thrown my way. I've lots of experience in retail, office work and barwork/hospitality and I've also got marketing, copywriting and editorial experience as well if that's of any use to anyone.

Basically, if you're in need of a bright, friendly and hard working guy to get a job done, please get in touch via this thread or a PM.

Thanks a lot,

Charles

Hi Charles,

Did you get much take up on this? I am a self employed marketing consultant / event manager. I don't have anything on work--wise at the moment but may do in the next month or two and I may be looking for an extra pair of hands now and again. It would be totally ad hoc but if you haven't found anything else could be useful for you? What sort of pay per hour are you looking for?

Thanks

Cathy

Hey Cathy,

Didn't get much take up on this at all actually. Wouldn't mind you throwing some adhoc work my way as and when you get any. Paywise anything more than minimum wage per hour would be great. My email is colafare[at]gmail.com send me an email and we'll get the ball rolling.

    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
    • We had shutters and roller blind supplied and fitted by Affordable Shutters when we first moved into our house in 2012 and highly recommend them. One of the poles and a couple of shutter staples recently came loose and they scheduled in a visit when they were in the area at no charge. Lovely customer service, great quality, honestly cannot fault their service (shutters are made to measure so you have to wait but they're worth waiting for). https://affordableshutters.co.uk/
