Online estate agents- experience?

Hi all,

I?m thinking about putting my flat on the market with an online estate agent (like Purplebricks) and I?ve found one that is advertising as free - Strike. There are lots of reviews online (a mixed bag) but wondered if anyone local had any experience of them from a buyer or sellers point of view?

I am well aware that I would be signing up for doing almost everything myself (viewings, property description, extra fee for photography, negotiation etc) but realistically I just want a posting on Rightmove/Zoopla and this would save thousands of pounds compared with the usual high street estate agents.

Any views on online estate agents welcome!

Thanks.

Hi, we advertised our flat in open rent and very are very happy with th service provided. They do all the tenant's checks and everything, you can also book the gas safety checks and anything you need with very competitive prices. They post in Rightmove and Zoopla. The price you have to pay is minimal compare with the main street agencies. I highly recommend Open rent. They can even get the monthly rent on your behalf and it is transferred to you the day after they receive it.

    • Loki hasn’t been seen since Sunday. He’s all grey but if you look closely he has faint stripes on the top of his tail. No pedigree, just very much loved. About 4 years old. No collar, but chipped.  please keep an eye out for him. We live on Barry Road SE22
    • I went in here the other day. The fruit is all really good - ripe and fresh. They also sell good bread (and croissants and pastries) from a independent bakery, the name of which I've forgotten. 🤦 The prices (which are marked) are not cheap but they are fair imo. Comparable to the specialist fruit shop on Lordship Lane (Brothers?) for really good quality. It's similar prices to Simply Fresh - but Simply Fresh's fruit and veg is very poor. Beaten about and tasteless. Sainsbury's is certainly cheaper. IMVHO they're a good addition to the Dulwich Village "retail offer".
    • Went actually for the first time yesterday. Terrific food, so was well pleased. Agree with previous poster to support.
    • Hi!! Moving house soon so looking for some cardboard boxes. Anyone know of any shops or cafes that may be giving some away?
