DONE -Lovely garden bench

One of my projects during a protracted period of self-isolation was to renovate an antique garden bench.

All the original wood has been replaced with Canadian oak which has been varnished.

It has an attractive curved back with a rose design.

All ready for anyone who wants a garden feature that will be a long-lasting asset.

It was a good project to do during lockdown. The tricky bit was making a steamer box plus forming jig to get the curves on the backrest just right. I made quite a bit of kindling in the process before I got it right!
