Leaking toilet overflow pipe / handyman

My toilet overflow pipe is dripping almost constantly. I've Googled it and tried various things to no avail although it's apparently simple to fix! Can anyone advise me? I don't want to pay call out charges for a plumber when I imagine someone more practical than me could solve it easily.

I'm also looking for a handyman longer term. I had an excellent person but he has now taken on a permanent job so am looking for someone (working alone) who is reliable and good value and can fix jobs around the house such as this, sometimes at short notice.

Thank you.

    • I just wanted to drop a recommendation into the Forum for anyone looking for a tree surgeon. We have been using Hamish of A Cut Above Tree Management for years and he and his team are genuinely brilliant. Exceedingly polite, helpful and friendly, really knowledge about tree issues and super considerate and careful of bringing the debris through our terraced house. Highly recommended! https://cutabovetreemanagement.co.uk/about/

    • I love the library and go regularly, but noticed recently the fiction shelves were getting depleted. When I asked the reason, I was told that the library was being refurbished (fine) and that there would be fewer books afterwards (to make room for other facilities I think) so they were starting to pare down their stock. This didn't make me happy! While I appreciate the wider role libraries play in the community, surely the  core purpose of a library is the books? The staff suggested I contact Southwark Council about my concerns. I emailed the relevant councillor but never got a reply.
