Twice now Mundania Court has had their Oddboxes stolen from outside the block, it's only started happening more recently, but there are approx 5-7 boxes that have been stolen now. We went to bring them in at 7am and all gone again. I just wondered if this is happening to any other addresses in the area or just us?

I know it's only fruit and veg, but it's very frustrating!

I think the company will be open to a different day/time delivery if you explain?

Or can you install a Ring type doorbell that will record them?

OP: have a look at this thread which specifically mentions that road along with a description of the suspect:

Worth seeing if Oddbox will do specified delivery times and ensuring they always deliver to a person rather than just leaving them outside.

Hi - I'm on Friern road and had mine stolen 3 weeks ago (only get every fortnight).

we have CCTV and slightly suspiciously the box was dropped at 1.56am and stolen at 2.04. Taken by a woman with scarf over her head and face who walked very purposely up the path, picked it up and then ran back in the direction she came from (so seems unlikely she was just passing?)

Have you all reported these thefts to Oddbox?

They might be able to come up with some solution.

Their customer service is very good.

I think part of the problem is that because of the time the boxes are delivered (for very good reasons, I know) they are left outside for a lot longer than they would be if they were delivered during the day, at least while many people are working from home.

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
