Recommended plumber

My central heating boiler stopped working a couple of days ago and when I rang my regular plumber, who I've used for many years, I was told that he'd retired. A bit desperate and in the early stages of hypothermia I looked on the forum, and saw that Paul the plumber Tel. 07974 755732 was a recommended name. So I rang Paul yesterday and he came around within a couple of hours, identified the problem, rushed away to get a vital spare part and then fixed the thing quickly and efficiently. And he is not expensive. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul for plumbing and heating.

Hi, I'd like to seconded that comment about Paul 07974 755732 as he came over the weekend when I drilled straight through a pipe! He sorted it within the hour and does charge a call out fee which I found amazing in that I've been stung before on emergency call outs. Big big thank you Paul and will store your number, regards john
Lurker here, never registered to post but we found ourselves with a slowly but steadily flooded bathroom last week, our usual plumber wouldn't answer the phone, so I looked here and found Paul's number, phoned him and he was with us 15 minutes later. Fixed the cistern very quickly. Very pleased!
I would also like to heartily recommend Paul (07974 755732). I found his details on the EDF following an urgent call from our tenant regarding the boiler having broken. Paul replied very quickly to my call and was with our tenant within the hour. A part had to be ordered to fix the problem and all was completed efficiently and with good communication. Would definitely call on Paul again.
Just wanted to thank Paul the Plumber (07974 755732) once again for coming out at short notice, having small children and a baby under 1 year, when the temperatures drop and you get a problem with a very old heating system, you want it fixed ASAP and Paul is always willing to come at the drop of a hat, so thank you Paul and i will carry on recommending you.

Another recommend for Paul, who came out on the day and bang on time to look over a malfunctioning boiler. He worked out what the problem was within an hour (basically, a previous "repair" by a well-known local heating company had in fact ruined a new part), said he *could* charge us to fix it, but suggested getting the other company back to put right what they'd got wrong. He even offered to speak to them to explain his diagnosis. Result: we got the other guys back to fix it for free.

    • I think it's a good idea and follows the example of other towns/areas. As it says in the article, the area around the main tourist attractions in Southwark, that is The Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and the whole walking route from London Bridge to Blackfriars, takes a lot of maintaining and it shouldn't be a burden on regular council tax payers like us.
