we haver suddenly been able to use our mobile after weeks of being blanked by vodafone/bt. we thought the obstruction to the radio mast had been cleared but today I drove round there and saw the massive building crane still hard up against honour oak baptist chapel. can it be that vodafone have stirred themselves to do someting for paying customers. that is obviously a mad suggestion. be nice to know what miracle has occurred

I see - I misread the post.

Maybe the root issue wasn't the crane as assumed in the vodafone thread ???

In what area (geographical) are you seeing the improvement ?

I can say Friern Rd was no different on Friday 1-2 bars max and slow as hell (but I was half asleep this morning).

Over the last 2 weeks several of us on the Forum have escalated thed issue at the Vodafone CEO's office - Matbe they actually did something !

    • Some of you may have never been to a post office on a Saturday when one or more people are posting their ebay parcels and you wait yonks.  Just one of those things.  I'm more concerned about the speed of the Royal Mail.  I may start a thread on this!
    • If you're going British, Marks and Sparks do a fantastic Cornish Cruncher Cheddar (get the three year old if it's on offer) and a Stilton/Stichelton which are wrapped in something more like wax paper.  I'm pretty sure they used to do a Stinking Bishop which had minimal plastic wrapping, as well.
    • Thanks to everybody for the responses. Agree that £50-60 is somewhat excessive so supermarket is likely to be the route we take.
    • If you can track down the owners of the now defunct Heritage Cheese in the village, there could be some stock-clearance bargains if you don't mind your cheese a little pre-nibbled.
