Is it my imagination, or have they suddenly changed all the staff in Lidl in Peckham? A lot of the usual faces seem to have disappeared overnight, with only a couple I recognise, and they started quite recently. Everyone else is new.

So did they have a clear out for some unfortunate reason (I noticed management types in suits wandering around the place a couple of times recently) or do Lidl occasionally rotate the staff between branches?

Have not been to Lidl and do not tend to notice / recognise Supermarket Staff.

I Think they must constantly change their staff.

Whilst on the subject of horse meat in burgers:----

I would not mind betting that before very long, some Little 'Bijou' outlet in E.D.

will be knocking out 'Burger au Cheval' with an unpretentious little Red.

?20.00 would seem about the going rate.

Fox.

Maybe Lidl staff have become jollier and more helpful now they are constantly exposed to the delicious smells of the instore bakery. . Their freshly baked croissants are 29 pence a pop, (if you hang around they will pull out a fresh batch from the oven) their ?39 single malt whisky sold out in hours just before Christmas after being voted one of the top whiskies worth ?100 by the whisky experts as Lidl had a deal with an obscure Islay distillery - bottles appeared on Ebay shortly afterwards. Lidl are brilliant for cheese, juice, fruit, baked stuff and those continental chocolate biscuits that are nearly two quid under a different label.

This week they are doing horse blankets. I bought a fire extinguisher.Currently got little coloured vests exactly the same as the white stuff twenty quidders at ?2.99. I love Lidl!

While you are all aching for a Waitrose, you are missing out!

    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
