parking on Peckham Rye

Does anyone know if the car park on Peckham Rye (end of Strakers Road) is free? Someone told me they thought you now have to pay, but I can't find any info about it online.

No it is all paid for parking now - there is pay by phone info I believe on the few signs there

I find it really weird that they let people park on Strakers Road which seems to avoid the car parking fees. It's impossible for two cars to pass each other on Strakers Raod when cars are parked up on it, and you often see people having to repeatedly reverse back down to the car park when trying to leave because a car coming the other way. It seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Agreed. Not sure why they can't make all of that road double yellow with maybe two or three disabled parking bays.

Strakers Road is no longer free - it appears the paybyphone has extended along there now.

The signs about charges to park have been extended along Strakers Road.
