Hi EDF parents to be

I'm due my second baby in January 2022. I joined the Summer Babies group back in 2018 with my first, and it was a great support group to have during pregnancy and the first year. Many of us are still in touch today!

If anyone is due in the Winter (December, January, February) and would like to join the WhatsApp group, please message on here / DM me your number and I'll set up a group for all of us.

If you're due in November, my friend Bridie has already set up an Autumn Babies Group here: https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,2200707

If you're due to have a baby any time in December, January or February, drop me a message and I can add you to a WhatsAppp group we've set up of women due at a similar time.

Purpose of the group is to offer community and support, contact for the darker months when you just need to leave the house and see a friendly face for a walk.

    • In part, it’s largely down to people not actually caring about anyone or anything else apart from their own gratification (btw, there are better ways to get a dopamine fix)
    • I totally agree it just seems that it a thing nowadays.  It must be due to how fireworks are sold.

    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
