Hello, just wondered if anyone is aware of a local reputable test centre to have days 2 and days 5 test to release carried out?

The issue with day 5 is that you have to have done at the centre to ensure its done properly and the palce i use is in Harley street - quite a distance.

Before anyone chimes in to reply to say "maybe don't go" then please don't waste my or your time as your not aware of my circumstances.

I'm not that priviledged that i cant do without warmer climes and wouldn't travel if not necessary and its certainly not a holiday .

Thanks BB

Hi we recently used Doctap who have option to take the tests at apharmacy in Brixton. This was the most local we could find at the time. Same day results which all came through on time. Try to get a morning appt if you can as the tests are collected from them at 1pm so I think an afternoon appt would not get same day result back. http://www.doctap.co.uk/

Good luck, it?s a minefield working out the testing options and requirements!

I think BB did say it's not a holiday notimpressed

It does lead to a mute point that those isolating and doing the test day 5 are having to travel to test centre , possibly by public transport or taxi, to do it.

Kind of defeats the objective 😱

    • I got a relatively good deal (well, compared to the quote from my current broker!)  through Orwell Insurance, who also didn't require a survey. £655 pa including subsidence cover. The excess is quite high but there's a ten year guarantee on the work on my front bay, so fingers crossed I won't have to claim. There has been other ground movement decades ago which sadly they also took into account in setting the excess. I used an online site called QuoteZone which was very quick and easy and can exclude any companies which won't cover you if you've had previous subsidence. Good luck to everyone who is in a similar situation! Each company seems to ask different questions and want different things, so definitely try a few places. I didn't want to spend days phoning round, so given I had already  saved £845 I stopped there, though it's possible I could have got it cheaper.
