I am looking for someone to build fitted wardrobes and maybe a bedroom cupboard, for starters.

Has anyone had any good carpentry done at reasonable cost?

Someone with creative ideas even better!

Preferably with off-site workshop as there is not much room to saw wood in my little slice of heaven.

Thanks!

Jacqui.

Hi Jacqui,

I am a locally based carpenter on Chadwick Road.

I would be happy to come and visit to see and discuss your wardrobes.

You can see examples of my work at www.scottfirth.com and you can contact me on 07973 846 610

Thanks

Scott Firth

I would like to recommend James Mulvey.

He has a number of recommendations on here, he create four wardrobes for us in the alcoves in our two bedrooms. He also made a bespoke cabinet/cupboard for our lounge together with a desk for the two alcoves.

He has his own workshop, his designs are very contemporary, he is a clean & reliable workman.

He can be contacted on: 07776 141 629 & he has a website: jamesmulvey.com

    • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
    • What made you think it was lost?
    • I'm pretty sure I saw him today near the junction of Lordship Lane and Dulwich common standing by the crossing near the entrance to the woods. Wearing a black trench coat , black trousers and dark timberland style boots his clothes looked somewhat worn and he was looking pretty wild eyed..I was in a car going by and I noticed him standing by the kerb looking somewhat aggrivated. other women please be aware
