Restoring our Victorian front "garden" - recommendations?

Hi all. I'm looking to have the slabs at the front of our Victorian house removed and replaced with gravel/pebbles and chequered tiles. Also replace planters with a brick wall/iron railings, and add bin storage. Any recommendations?
