We have virgin broadband which is fine, except we have some black spots in the house with little or no signal. I have a couple of net gear extenders which are ok but don't solve the problem. I suspect technology has moved on since we bought them a few years ago - does anyone have any advice about which extenders are the best? I have trawled through lots of conflicting advice and reviews on techie websites and tbh I a dunce when it comes to these things

thanks in advance!

See if you can get a few mesh devices as the give a seamless extension and use each other to try and remove dead spots in your house.

Depending on the size of your house, wall construction and thickness will depend on how many mesh devices you will need.

I found this guide from PC mag to different models quite useful but do your own research first is a good piece of advice.

I've been using basic powerline adaptors for several years. They piggyback on your mains wiring anduse ethernet connections. The latest ones seem to offer a wifi transmitter as well. https://www.tomsguide.com/uk/face-off/powerline-extenders-vs-wi-fi-signal-boosters

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
