Nero
People are good at grumbling about everything, yet they won't lift a finger to change anything. Way to go, Pol. Has she been reading the EDF? mockney piers
She wouldn't be the first journo to lift a story straight out the EDF now would she. Nero
It's all circular! But I agree with her sentiments about all talk, no action in society in general. mockney piers
This is more of a zig-zag in fairness.I may be her perfect blustering do-nothinger, so I can see her point, but frankly she's talking bollocks. There are plenty of people getting involved politically, through charities, voluntary services etc all over the place. She's just getting all uppity because she's realised what a whinging wind-bag she truly is. Nero
But her columns are her way of doing her bit, maybe? Anyway, I like her as she's sometimes reactionary and yet has a social conscience. Cf John Humprhys (whose THE GREAT FOOD GAMBLE I am reading right now). mockney piers
I know I know, I'm not especially far from her politically but she winds me up in a way only Johann Hari can surpass.
