Freelance journalist needed!

I wasn't sure where to post this, so apologies if I'm in the wrong place...

I'm looking for a local freelance journalist / experienced blogger to work on a busy travel website for the next few months. I've just had a baby and need help keeping the site's blog up-to-date, plus twitter and facebook maintenance. There are also lots of opportunities for trips around the UK to write hotel reviews and destination guides for the site if you are interested (although this isn't a compulsory part of the role). I'm looking for someone to work the equivalent of one day a week on the site.

If you are enthusiastic, organised and a chatty, fluent writer, with some published work you can show me, and you're happy to pop over to Peckham Rye every once in a while to touch base, it would be great to hear from you.

Just drop me a PM and I'll email you with more info about the website and the help I need.

Thanks!

Kate

Hello - I'm an experienced, award-winning copywriter rather than a journalist, but have written a wide range of communications for a variety of audiences. I've also done a little writing for Archers travel website. I currently work part-time and would love to help if you think I'd fit the bill (and you haven't found anyone else).

If you are interested, I can give you details of my website, where you'll find samples of my work.

Do let me know if I can help.

Thanks

Thank you SO much to all the people who PM'd me offering their services. I would normally reply to you all, but there were so many I don't think I'll get a chance!

I've been in touch with the people I think would be the best fit with my website, but thanks again to everyone else.

Best wishes

Kate

    • Ah that was it.... When you realise politicians are only ever in it for themselves then everything starts to make sense.
    • Yup. Student politics. https://bright-green.org/2012/04/09/democracy-and-direct-action-an-interview-with-edinburgh-universitys-new-student-president-james-mcash/
    • I wonder whether his political epiphany and renaissance will stretch to him using his real name - James Ashworth-McLintock - rather than the more proletarian 'McAsh'. To my mind, the only people who should have self-bestowed mononyms are very talented Brazilian footballers - Pele, Kaka, Ronaldinho - very talented female pop icons - Madonna, Shakira, Sonia - or Russian revolutionaries - Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky. Sonia's greatest hits compilation, 'Greatest Hits', is out now on vinyl & CD through PWL Recordings.
    • Probably more helpful to ask simply whether McCash was affiliated with the Greens before becoming a Labour councillor. Trying to explain your thought process and unravel your fevered imagination (particularly when it comes to local politica) is the kind of thing that might require several years of psychoanalysis.
