Hi just passed the Dry Cleaners in Lordship lane next to the Post Office and it all boarded up hope it hasn?t closed for good

maybe its been refurbed, but can imagine its been a tough time for dry cleaners. I can't remember when i last got anything cleaned. Casual dress was the start of the move away from dry cleaning but working from home must have been a massive blow.

I think it?s pretty clear, if you look beyond the hoardings, that it?s undergoing a thorough renovation.

Even though it?s not the nearest to me, I always use Alpine dry cleaners on Grove Vale (opposite Cherry Tree pub).

They are always good, and very reasonably priced.

It is just being refurbished. They started this at the end of July and were hoping to finish around now. Hopefully it will not be long, since they offer a good, friendly and competitively priced service. The cobbler/shoe repair man will not be coming back though. Apparently lockdown had hit him very hard with people not needing office or smart shoes.
