Seconded. It's not actually that hard to design a sympathetic loft conversion that almost looks like it's part of the original design but 20-35k paid to a bunch of half ar$ed cowboys doesn't lend itself to aesthetic wants.

Yes... Citroen dealer. I can see it in my mind like a yellowing Hipstamatic print. I remember getting my Esso 'Man in Flight coins' when my old man filled up the Austin with 2 Star.

There was a really hideous care home down there too. I used to think one of the worst buildings was the new flats up Underhill overlooking the cemetery.. But now they're lived in and have plants and look loved I rather like them. My ugliest vote goes to the sad looking conversion of the old Heber Arms... Mainly because closed pubs make me a bit sad.

There's really only the one candidate...

(Doubtless this is where ED History tells me that SE22 != East Dulwich or something. That piece of unloved real estate is actually an enclave of Wandsworth after the War of Lambethine succession of 1765)

    • This is NEXT WEDNESDAY 11 June! Just turn up if you prefer not to give prior notice! The Palmerston from  7pm, turn left as you come in! (If you have been hiding under a rock, The Palmerston is the pub on Lordship Lane on the corner of North Cross Road).
    • Yes, at first I assumed that the bin men had taken flowering plants from my front garden while getting at my brown food bin, instead of reaching over the wall. I was very confused as I couldn't see any obvious gaps. Surely taking Toadflax from a resident's wall is not part of the council's remit? What next, are they going to come round and trim hedges in front gardens? 🤬
    • Oh, so that was the council.  Someone ripped some lovely flowering Toadflax from our wall and threw it in the gutter.  I assumed that a child had done it.  How strange?
    • Black open bag found on pavement on Goodrich Road this morning filled with electrical type items. Please message me if yours with description of what should be inside. Thanks
